Provost, Manassas Campus

NOVA invites applications for the position of Provost of its Manassas Campus. This position reports to the President of the College and is a member of the NOVA Administrative Council. The Provost serves as the chief administrative officer of the campus and coordinates all campus planning, development, budget preparation, and policy matters. Additionally, the Provost serves as the chief academic officer of the campus and provides general supervision of the student services function at the campus. The Provost directly supervises nine staff including the Dean of Science and Applied Technology; the Dean of Communication Technologies and Social Sciences; the Dean of Students; the Dean of Learning, Technology Resources and IT; and the Director of Campus Operations.

The new Provost will be a dedicated educator and a passionate advocate of the community college mission, with a demonstrated record of academic, executive, and administrative leadership as well as experience in building and effectively managing strong academic programs and student services focused upon student access and success. The Manassas Campus seeks a capable leader who demonstrates a commitment to community engagement and building partnerships, excellence in teaching, and working in and fostering a diverse, multicultural, and international community. The successful candidate will be skilled in management, budgeting, and operational procedures as well as able to lead the effective use of information technology for administrative and instructional purposes. S/he will be an effective communicator and team player with a collaborative leadership style and will be an active participant in daily campus activities. An earned doctorate is required.
