Bucks County Community College invites nominations and applications for the position of Provost.
The Provost reports to the President, serves as the chief academic officer of the College and is responsible for all credit and non-credit educational programs. Duties include assessment of student learning and advancement of student success, program and curriculum development, accreditation and self-evaluation, program review and improvement, academic personnel decisions, budget development, course management, fiscal accountability and sustaining the quality of teaching and learning. The Provost fosters, supports and enhances a student-centered academic environment which frames the College’s mission and vision.
The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced leader, scholar and administrator with a clear, focused commitment to teaching, learning and academic excellence to promote student success. A terminal degree is required along with substantial college teaching experience.
Progressive academic administration record with evidence of significant accomplishments, accreditation experience, and a demonstrated commitment to assessment and accountability are essential. The successful candidate will be a strong and effective academic leader who has vision, a strategic perspective, excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to lead a growing, complex institution as part of a collaborative senior leadership team.
