Do you love helping students to understand mathematics?
Do you seek an alternative to the ‘publish-or-perish’ treadmill?
Do you have 18 credit hours of graduate level mathematics and a doctorate in education or mathematics?
If your answer to these questions is “Yes!” then we encourage you to apply to work as a Course Mentor in our General Education Mathematics programs.
Course Mentors in General Education Mathematics are dedicated to helping our online students to succeed in their mathematics content and courses in our competency-based model. That means the majority of your time will be spent in one-on-one sessions with students. In our disaggregated model, other university faculty members design the courses and evaluate student assignments, so you will be free to focus specifically on content and instruction. Preferred candidates must have experience in one or more of the following areas: teaching collegiate mathematics courses; working with adult learners in distance learning environments.
WGU’s programs are fully accredited and serve both undergraduate and graduate students.
