Education Requirements: Master's degree in Education or an area related to student development or student services. PhD preferred in Education or an area related to student development or student services.
Experience Requirements: Ten (10) years of combined administrative experience in multiple divisions of student services with five (5) years of direct experience in a managerial or leadership role. Community college administrative experience highly preferred.

Provide leadership in the design, development, strategy, implementation and assessment of goals, objectives and activities related to Student Services and Centers of Excellence. Make recommendations to the Chancellor on long and short range strategies and goals. Participates as a member of the College’s senior leadership team; provides the leadership, vision, and administrative management for student services at the college.
Represents the Chancellor for the student services function of the campus, as well as serves as Chancellor’s designated person for student complaints and grievances.
Formulate and interpret policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable program, local, State and Federal laws, and established criteria, along with ensuring student success.
Develop and maintain internal and external relationships; participate in a variety of meetings, committees, task forces, and/or other related groups to communicate information regarding services, programs, areas of opportunity, and other information; represent assigned area on committees, advocacy groups, and/or related groups. Negotiate and manage contracts with external parties as necessary.
Provide overall direction in facilitating system wide student services councils and task forces to ensure student success. Act as representative of the institution to current and prospective partners to assess needs and develop appropriate programs. Provide leadership in promoting professional development opportunities for 100% of staff.
Oversee and direct various planned activities in the development and implementation of student success initiatives and public and governmental relations in a coordinated effort to promote the institution aimed at meeting or exceeding enrollment projections, and to attain an outstanding reputation in public and governmental relations.
Recommend to the Chancellor new/revised college initiatives and increase student success measures. Review enrollment programs and evaluate, assess and develop creative strategies for improvement of programs.
Demonstrate commitment to collaborative decision-making, results based management, continuous improvement and student/customer service in an environment conducive to teamwork and mutual support. Works with college administration to promote a student-oriented culture that ensures access, sustains educational excellence, fosters student development, and supports high levels of student achievement.
Responsible for the design, execution and effectiveness of a system of internal controls which provides reasonable assurance that operations are effective and efficient, assets are safeguarded
Provide overall management of operating budgets; prepare cost estimates for budget recommendations; control and approve expenditures as required; identify and pursue alternative funding sources; allocate funds across center functions.
Performs designated duties for the Chancellor in his/her absence.
