Priority Consideration date: February 29, 2016 Tacoma Community College (TCC) is pleased to invite innovative higher education administrators to apply for the Dean for Mathematics, Science, and Engineering. Reporting to the Executive Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs, the Dean of Math, Science, and Engineering (MSE) administers the departments and disciplines within the division – Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Earth Sciences, Mathematics, Physics and Education. The Dean provides academic leadership for curriculum, instruction, assessment, professional development, and outreach and coordinates the Core to College and Sustainability initiatives. This is a full-time administrative position with a salary range of $90,000 - $96,000 annually DOE/DOQ. Tacoma Community College has recently been listed as one of the nation’s top 150 community colleges by the Aspen Institute College Excellence Program. Located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, just south of Seattle. TCC is a diverse, creative and engaging institution - recognized nationally as an Achieving the Dream “Leader College” – and enrolls approximately 18,000 students annually (6,000 FTE) and is located on a 150-acre site in west Tacoma. The ideal candidate will have a Master’s Degree in a Mathematics, Science, or Engineering related discipline, teaching experience, as well as a broad knowledge and background in these disciplines and experience in higher education administration.
