The Board of education invites nominations and applications for the position of president of linn-Benton community college in Albany, oregon.
LBCC was founded in 1966 as a two-year public college in Oregon’s mid-Willamette Valley serving the residents of Linn and Benton counties. The college is supported by tuition, local property taxes and state revenue. The 2009-10 total budget is $92 million, including a general fund budget of $38 million. LBCC ranks 6th out of 17 community colleges in Oregon with more than 24,000 students and 6,528 FTE.
The beautiful 104-acre campus is just south of Albany, Oregon, and 11 miles east of Corvallis, which is the home of Oregon State University. More than 60 career and technical programs and transfer degrees in a variety of program areas are available. Three extended learning centers offer a wide array of credit and non-credit classes in Albany, Corvallis, Lebanon, Sweet Home and other locations throughout the district.
