The County College of Morris (CCM) seeks an innovative and collaborative leader to serve as its next President. CCM is well positioned for the next President to build on a strong foundation, propelling the College to new heights through high-quality programs and partnerships with political, educational and business leaders in the local community and across the state. The new President will lead CCM at a time of tremendous opportunity with an energized faculty and staff who are eager to work to ensure the College continues to thrive.
Founded in 1968, CCM is located in northwest New Jersey just 30 miles from New York City. CCM offers more than 50 academic programs in arts, business administration, communications, criminal justice, health professions, human services, humanities, liberal arts and sciences, nursing and health, science, technology, engineering and math. Shorter length certificate programs are also offered, as well as continuing and professional education courses. As of the Fall 2015 academic semester, the College enrolled 8,026 students in credit courses, including 3,946 full-time and 4,080 part-time students. CCM employs over 880 faculty and staff and has a budget of approximately $55 million.
Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the President will work with the campus community to bolster enrollment by attracting diverse constituency groups to the campus and setting forth a vision in collaboration with faculty, students and staff that ensures the success of the College as a whole. S/he will lead by example, embracing the open and collegial culture of the College while maintaining a presence and voice in conversations about higher education at the county and state levels. The President will continue to develop relationships across the state and in the community, building on the strong transfer agreements with four-year institutions, providing opportunities for students to continue their education. As the chief ambassador for CCM, the President will enhance partnerships and relationships with local government, alumni, area businesses, industry, and other educational institutions and civic organizations.
