Job Description

Fayetteville Technical Community College is seeking qualified applicants for this full-time position on its main campus to be instrumental in assisting with the planning, organization and supervision of the Colleges financial aid services staff; to actively participate in processing financial aid documents and reports, consult with staff and other College divisions and departments; monitor the processing of student financial aid and veterans files, and  perform a variety of technical  tasks relative to financial aid processing. Duties:  Assists the Director with the development, planning and implementation of policies and procedures. Ensure compliance for 5 star rated centers. Assign other staff member’s responsibilities to appropriate personnel in the event of an absence (Director, Teachers, secretary or cook). Assume classroom teaching duties as needed to maintain staffing ratios. Provides assistance with, and approval of, center staffing schedule with designated staff members. Monitor program daily for compliance with NC licensure requirements and take timely, appropriate steps to ensure compliance. Inform Director of any circumstances or issues that occur in Center. Provide curriculum oversight and guidance in cooperation with Center staff. Provides direct supervision for the Food Service for the Center, including coordination and approval of menus and reports with Food Service personnel that meets all related agencies regulations. Serve as the alternate representative to the community in the absence of the Director. Conduct or coordinate, and participate in mandatory staff development activities. Cooperate effectively with the Director and other Early Childhood Education Center staff members in the strategic planning process. Provide information and tours to potential families. Proof, edit, and create correspondence for the Center to internal and external customers. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:  Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Development or a related field and two years of administrative experience in the field. Extensive experience directly related to the position duties, well documented in the application packet, may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.  Playground Safety Certification, Health Card, CPR and First Aid Training. Excellent health as evidenced by medical examination and initial TB Test. Satisfactory background/criminal record check. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Must show evidence of one of the following: Successful completion of NC Community College classes: EDU 119, EDU 261, and EDU 262; OR NC Administrator Credential NCECAC; OR Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education with 6 semester hours in Childcare Administration and 9 hours in Business; OR
Bachelor degree with 18 semester hours in Early Childhood Education.
