Chief Information and Technology Officer - The Chief Information and Technology Officer is responsible for ensuring the availability of technology and software resources for the Academic, Administrative, and Support Services of the College. This position is responsible for ensuring the availability of computing resources, the installation and maintenance of all computer hardware and software, and all Internet-related hardware and software; the supervision of the college’s Computer Network Services and staff, the supervision of the Administrative Data System Services and staff; as well as integrating technology resource into the college’s learning systems to enhance academic program delivery. This position is part of the President’s staff and serves as a member of the Administrative Council. This position is expected to provide leadership and vision in the continued development and management of the institution’s Information Technology resources and services. This position requires a strong technical background and the ability to integrate both academic and administrative computing and telecommunication services. This position will serve as an advocate for institutional Information Technology initiatives. The incumbent is on call and frequently must respond to emergencies that arise. The incumbent will be evaluated on the ability to supervise and manage subordinate staff. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or computer related discipline; At least 3 years of relevant work experience; Ability to supervise subordinates; Excellent verbal communication skills; Knowledge of Educational Technology Systems; Ability to function as an active facilitator or member of campus wide technology teams; Demonstrated competencies in computer networks, networking infrastructure design and management skills; Desirable Qualifications: Master’s degree in Information Technology or computer related discipline; Demonstrated competencies in Administrative Data Systems, and Educational Learning Systems; At least 5 years of relevant work experience in a Higher Educational environment; Experience with the Ellucian/Colleague Data System; Experience with both Linux and Windows Servers. 52 weeks, 40 hours/week.
