Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College President Search:

The Board of Trustees invites applications and nominations for the position of President of Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College (A-B Tech). The President serves as the Chief Executive Officer and reports directly to an appointed fifteen-member Board.

From its beginnings as an industrial education center in 1959, A-B Tech has grown into a superior-rated, comprehensive community college that enrolls more than 26,000 students, giving it the largest headcount of any institution of higher education in Western North Carolina. The College offers more than 50 innovative career programs, along with A.A., A.S., and A.F.A. programs and more than 1,200 Continuing Education courses each year.

Nestled in the French Broad River valley amid the Blue Ridge and Great Smoky Mountains, Asheville is the largest city in Western North Carolina and home to more than 85,000 residents. Asheville has been recognized for its splendors by dozens of magazines, websites and publications in recent years. Accolades range from the designation by Frommer’s as one of a dozen top travel destinations in the world to recognition for the Asheville area arts community, outdoor adventures, cuisine, organic and vegetarian restaurants, and much more. Required Qualifications:

• Master’s degree from an accredited institution. Doctorate degree from an accredited institution preferred.
• At least seven years of senior level administrative experience in higher education or equivalent required, preferably in a community college. Application Procedure:
