Job Description

 Program Director and primary instructor for courses for the Associate in Applied Science degree program in Funeral Service Education; Maintain accreditation standards and applicable records/documentation for the American Board of Funeral Service Education; Monitor and maintain program budget; Teach didactic and laboratory courses, which may include embalming, restorative art, funeral directing procedures and merchandise, funeral service psychology, funeral management, funeral service law, funeral service history, and funeral service computer applications; Monitor Embalming Practicum I and II off-site locations; Manage adjunct/practicum faculty workload; Offer weekly office hours; Student recruitment and advising; Serve on department, division, campus, and district committees; and other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Master’s degree in the subject field,
or
A master’s degree with at least thirty (30) approved graduate semester hours in the
subject field and related fields,
or
Bachelor’s degree with major in subject field and two (2) years of full-time college
teaching experience, and one (1) year of related full-time work experience,
or
Bachelor’s degree with major in subject field and four (4) years of full-time related
work experience.
