ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION OPENINGS*

ACADEMIC AFFAIRS AREA DEANS: NCC seeks six (6) Deans of Academic Affairs to provide leadership, administrative oversight for major academic initiatives and report to the Executive Vice President. Five (5) will serve as Area Deans for disciplinary and departmental groupings and one (1) Dean for Distance Education. The Deans work in collaboration with the Academic Department Chairpersons and Faculty to evaluate and strengthen the College’s academic programs. The Deans provide a process of continuous assessment of programs, resulting in ongoing improvements and initiatives, as needed. The Area Dean provides guidance to the chairperson on curriculum development, enrollment, oversees departmental and program review, as well as, scheduling and evaluation of related academic services. Deans participate in the College’s shared governance structure and provide intellectual and other institutional leadership related to departmental and programmatic enterprises. Qualifications: Master’s degree in appropriate discipline required, doctorate preferred; relevant administrative experience in a higher education setting necessary.
