Moberly Area Community College invites nominations and applications for the position of Dean of Academic Affairs.
Requirements: Doctoral degree or a Master’s degree with a strong background in higher education and commitment to completion of terminal degree. Experience in higher education administration or other related professional background; strong written and oral communication as well as interpersonal communication skills, demonstrated leadership ability, ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines, and a commitment to the community college mission. This position reports to the Vice President for Instruction.
Responsibilities: Provides leadership and supervision of associate degree programs in a variety of academic programs; recommends for hire, supervises, and evaluates faculty and staff; develops annual budget requests; cultivates relationships with other colleges and universities, secondary schools, and private, governmental, and professional organizations; serves on the President's Administrative Council; supervises the preparation and submission of state and federal reports; assists in the development and supervision of out-of-district sites, courses and programs; maintains evaluation system for all academic programs; and works in coordination with the Dean of Career and Technical Education and the Dean of Off-Campus Programs and Instructional Technology.
