Works in collaboration with faculty, division chairs and the administration to achieve college goals and implement strategic initiatives of the college as they relate to the workforce core theme of the college
Provide oversight for planning, development and administration of instructional programs in the Business and Health/Family Studies divisions
Develop plans to meet college workforce mission and program goals, FTE targets, and budget including annual and quarterly course offerings
Lead the Business and Health/Family Studies divisions in developing and offering current, relevant and effective high demand programs; work with faculty to review and revise curriculum, program outcomes and assessment
Develop and maintain positive relationships and partnerships with community organizations, business and industry
Aid instructional programs with recruiting technical experts and labor representatives to serve on program advisory committees
Assist with college and program accreditation processes, grant procurement, program assessment, student recruitment and retention, and student conduct
Insure compliance with all requirements, rules and regulations governing workforce programs
Participate in the hiring, tenure, and post tenure review processes for full-time faculty as outlined in the Negotiated Agreement
Oversee the hiring, orientation and evaluation of adjunct faculty, and manages faculty workload and assignments
Supervise staff, coordinates duties for instructional techs, and provides for staff orientation, training and development
Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree
- Experience developing and implementing workforce-related projects and grants
- Two years of documented, successful, and progressively responsible management experience
- Experience in program development and management
- Budget and procurement management
- Strong Interpersonal communication, critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Familiarity with state and federal workforce and economic development programs regulations, goals, and target populations
- Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners
- Demonstrated cultural competence working with diverse populations including race, ethnicity, gender, ability, age, sexual orientation, socio-economic, etc.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in Business, Education or Health Field such as Nursing
- Instructional and/or administrative experience in post secondary education
- Bilingual - Spanish
- Professional/Technical teaching certification
