THE STRENGTH OF NORTHERN LAKES COLLEGE IS BUILT UPON SUCCESSFUL PARTNERSHIPS AND INNOVATION
Northern Lakes College is firmly rooted in its communities with more than 30 campuses dispersed across 200,000 square kilometers of north central Alberta. For over 40 years, the College has partnered with communities, aboriginal groups, government agencies, municipalities and industry to deliver relevant education that serves a diverse adult learner population. The College’s commitment to accessible programming close to home, and affordable tuition make it an active and involved contributor to the social and economic viability of Northern Alberta and to the livelihoods of the people who call it home.
If you’re looking for a challenge there are significant opportunities that await you in this leadership role. As the President and CEO of Northern Lakes College, you will inspire approximately 300 dedicated, professional staff in the delivery of academic upgrading, university transfer, apprenticeship training and professional development programs to 4,500 full- and part-time students. You will focus your enthusiasm to advance an institution that enables adults in northern Alberta to continue their education, to improve their employment opportunities, and to enhance their quality of life.
Reporting and accountable to the Board of Governors, you will be the College’s champion in partnering with government, industry and local organizations to continue expansion of accessible educational opportunities that meet the needs of area residents. As a community leader, you will develop the relationships and understanding necessary to spearhead additional learning and program options that will positively affect the economy and the social fabric of one of Canada’s most diverse regions.
A respected academic, business, government or community leader, you have the post-graduate or professional credentials and the demonstrated capacity to inspire the support and respect of stakeholders through your commitment to excellence and inclusivity, preferably with Aboriginal and rural communities.
