Job Description | Lincoln Land Community College is accepting applications for three full-time, tenure track faculty positions in Biology, English and Sociology to begin fall semester of 2013.
LLCC is seeking innovative instructors who set student learning and student success as key priorities. The college is particularly interested in applicants who demonstrate an interest in teaching online, practice active learning approaches, incorporate student assessment techniques, and utilize technology in the classroom to enhance student success. The college is also interested in individuals with a commitment to departmental, institutional, and community service.
Duties will include teaching 15 contact hours per semester of assigned classes and labs; preparing lessons and course syllabi; participating in the development and review of curricula and instructional methods; evaluating and assisting students; maintaining office hours; participating in professional development; remaining current in advances related to their discipline; participating in departmental/institutional operations and program review; managing a learning environment that fosters student success; developing, integrating, evaluating and reviewing student learning outcomes in support of the College’s ongoing accreditation; and contributing to a collegial and collaborative work environment.
All positions require a graduate-level degree in the discipline. Prior teaching experience, especially at a community college, is viewed favorably.
