The University of Kansas seeks a new leader of energy and vision as the next
Vice Chancellor of the KU Edwards Campus.
Over the past 20 years, the KU Edwards Campus has grown from a small Regents center to a vibrant campus serving the Kansas City metropolitan area. In spring 2012, KU opened the new Business, Engineering, Science and Technology (BEST) Building in collaboration with the publicly financed Johnson County Education Research Triangle Authority. Their mutual mission is to create at least 10 new degree programs in high-need areas of business, engineering, science, and technology to benefit the local workforce.
The Vice Chancellor guides the strategic vision and mission of the KU Edwards Campus and the development and overall performance of its academic programs. As a leader in the local community, the Vice Chancellor plays a central role in business and industry outreach and advancing the metro KC area.

KU enjoys a national reputation for innovation and academic excellence. The Edwards Campus offers adult learners exceptional programs in business administration, engineering, information technology, design, and education, among others, and is also home to four research centers.
The Vice Chancellor reports directly to the Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor. The expectation is this position will be filled for an initial term of five years with the possibility of continued appointment.
