Job Description: Albany Technical College is seeking a well-qualified, highly experienced financial aid professional to fill the position of Financial Aid Director. The individual we are seeking must be able to assist the college in meeting its strategic enrollment goals and must possess the skills necessary to create and maintain a high performance environment through positive leadership and teamwork. Reporting to the Vice President for Student Affairs, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the financial assistance program for the College; providing information to prospective and enrolled students; Coordinating the preparation and maintenance of active and inactive financial aid program files and records; preparing and analyzing reports; responsible for all financial aid awards; Supervising subordinate employees; administering Federal Title IV PELL, FSEOG, Work Study, HOPE Grant, community grants, and scholarships. Knowledge of federal, state and local financial aid rules and regulations; maintaining a financial aid record system; and attending federal and state updates and mandates in financial aid.

Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, accounting, or a related field AND extensive experience in BANNER financial aid. At least three years experience in an area relevant to administration of educational financial accounting, financial aid grants etc. Must have a strong level of commitment and effort to performing work toward the achievement of the College’s mission and goals. All positions require a pre-employment criminal background investigation and employer/professional reference check.

Preferred Qualifications: The individual must have extensive experience in processing and maintaining student loans.
