JOB DESCRIPTION The Board of Trustees invites applications and nominations for the position of President at Robeson Community College.  The President serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the college and reports directly to an appointed twelve-member Board.  The President of the Student Government Association is a thirteenth, non-voting member of the Board.

Robeson Community College is located in Lumberton, North Carolina and is a member of the North Carolina Community College System.  The main campus rests alongside Interstate 95 in southeastern North Carolina.  Robeson County is the largest county in the State with 946 square miles and has a multicultural population of 129,559.  The College ranks 23rd in size among the 58 community colleges in the North Carolina Community College System.  The college had a full-time equivalent student enrollment of 3,854 for 2010-11.  The college serves about 2,800 curriculum/credit students and 1,250 college and career readiness students each semester.  Another 15-18,000 adults are served annually in continuing education and workforce development programs.  The college currently is managing more than $20 million in grants and sponsored programs and is the lead institution in a ten-member North Carolina Advanced Manufacturing Alliance that received an $18.8 million USDOL TAACCCT Grant.  There is an Early College High School located on the main campus that was just named a 2012 National Blue Ribbon High School.

Qualifications Required:

Earned doctorate degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of five years senior level community college experience or the equivalent
