Position Summary
The Assistant Vice Chancellor for information Technology, under the direction of the Vice Chancellor for Information Technology, has primary responsibility for the Information Technology departments, services and operations most directly impacting the College’s instructional programs, enterprise systems, and support. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assumes a leadership role in providing project management oversight to coordinate the many Information Technology project timelines with campus schedules to keep disruptions at a minimum and support the delivery of instruction
  • Develops strategies for carrying out the vision in accordance with the College mission statement and strategic plan
  • Provides leadership in needs assessment
  • Supports executives in promoting organizational effectiveness
  • Selects, evaluates, and supervises User Support Services and the delivery of Information Technology services at the campuses
  • Provides oversight for enterprise Network Services and Technology Services
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures for Information Technology operations
  • Oversees and directs capital budgeting for multiple offices within Information Technology
  • Assures that adequate accounting controls and records maintenance policies are being followed within the department
  • Assures financial integrity in all aspects of Information Technology management; • Responsible for ensuring that Information Technology services are delivered in a consistent, efficient, and effective manner
  • Delegates to and holds employees responsible for satisfactory performance of assignments
  • Prepares and maintains operational plans and measures and reports performance against the plans
  • Fosters good team communication within the department and acts as a liaison to other administrative departments of the College to jointly deliver effective Information • Technology services
  • Meets with public and corporate executives, community groups, and constituents in conducing the business of the College
  • Serves on College and State committees, and conducts special projects as assigned by the Chancellor or the Vice Chancellor of Information Technology

Job Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Information Technology or a related field
  • Three years of administrator level Information Technology management experience

OR

  • Candidates who possess similar objective minimum qualifications are encouraged to apply and should describe in detail the education and work experience you regard as establishing the equivalency

Degrees must be from accredited institutions.

A doctorate degree is preferred.

The successful candidate will have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
