Vice President of Administrative Services
West Shore Community College is seeking an outstanding individual to provide leadership for the delivery of administrative services and support for organizational goals through teamwork, continuous improvement, effective use of technology, and providing a high level of customer service.
WSCC is located in a beautiful “four-season” recreational location near the shore of Lake Michigan and serves a multi-county district. West Shore’s fall headcount is approximately 1400 with a total annual budget of approximately $15 million.
Despite Michigan’s economic woes, the College is uniquely positioned with respect to finances, including: no debt and a healthy fund balance; a dependable revenue stream for capital expenditures; beautiful facilities; up-to-date technology; and a very small deferred maintenance backlog.
The Vice President of Administrative Services position has been reopened, amended, and expanded and is one of two Vice President positions that report directly to the President. The Vice President is responsible for the areas of business and accounting services; payroll; human resources; facilities maintenance; technology; and auxiliary services. The VP will be expected to help build a “culture of evidence” at the college.
It will be a bonus for the successful candidate to have the potential to serve as a community college president sometime in the future, with the possibility of succeeding the current WSCC President.
