Associate Director of Financial Aid Services
The Associate Director of Financial Aid assists in the operation of a program of financial assistance to students. The Associate Director assists students to apply for financial aid, advises them on personal financial and educational expense management, and performs record keeping and reporting assignments. The position may serve as the College’s Veterans’ Affairs advisor. The Associate Director is responsible for assisting in operating the College’s programs of financial assistance to contribute to attracting and retaining students and which help to make it possible for qualified students to attend the College. This is achieved through effective performance in the areas of program operation; record keeping and reporting; training and leading or supervising assigned staff; and when assigned, providing Veterans’ Affairs advice and assistance. Heavy use of computers including standard Word, spreadsheet and data base applications.
The Graphics Specialist performs a range of specialized services in support of the production of public information and advertising publications. These services may include: graphic arts design, layout and production including desk top publishing for such publications as the college catalog, class schedules, handbooks, brochures, newsletters and promotional posters and flyers. The Graphics Specialist is responsible for participating in publicizing the College to its external and internal audiences by performing graphic design, artwork, layout and production of materials in print and other media. This is accomplished through effective performance in the areas of graphic arts and desktop publishing; print and related media production; and project management.
Public Relations Associate
Under the supervision of the Director of Marketing, the Public Relations Associate supports the College’s strategic marketing plan with writing, editing, media relations, research tasks, public relations initiatives, positioning strategies including direct mail development and procurement. The Public Relations Associate is accountable for research, writing and editing informational material to provide for clear and accurate communication with the College’s external and internal audiences. This includes such essential tasks as: collecting information, verifying its accuracy and creating written material appropriate for intended audiences. This may include interviewing sources of news and information and developing informative and interesting articles and written material; collecting written material from other College sources and editing for content, form and grammar and producing articles and information for communications and news publications; preparing complex information materials such as College catalogs and schedules involving the verification of precise and vital data and placing in useful format. Applicants must adapt to the changing needs of the population served by the College.
