The Director of Grants and Planning has the primary responsibility for leading the process through which the College pursues public and private grants. The Director also manages the strategic planning processes of the College and reports directly to the President.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree preferred; experience in proposal writing in government and/or private sector competitive grants; demonstrated work experience and competencies on computer equipment and word processing software; ability to maintain irregular hours when necessary to meet application deadlines and/or the related responsibilities; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and complete them within tight deadlines; excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to work effectively with diverse constituencies both within and outside the College; and the ability to travel inside and outside the college district.
Desired qualifications include three years demonstrated successful experience in proposal writing in government and/or private sector competitions and familiarity with funding sources consistent with the community college mission; demonstrated competencies in spreadsheet and database software.
