Sullivan County Community College (SUNY Sullivan), a small residential, two-year community college, is a part of the State University of New York system. Its mission is to provide liberal arts, business, technical and support programs that educate, inspire and empower its students and the broader community. To prepare students for an increasingly diverse, dynamic and interconnected world, SUNY Sullivan models sustainable actions and promotes socially and environmentally responsible citizenship. Its 405-acre rural campus is nestled in the scenic Catskill Mountains less than two hours from New York City and Albany. Its enrollment is demographically diverse with 1,735 students (1,113 full-time and 622 part-time) with two-thirds of the students commuting to the campus and one-third in residence on campus. The ideal candidate should have at least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in higher education leadership and administration or in a similarly complex organization. An earned doctorate or an equivalent terminal degree is preferred.
