Cochise College seeks an innovative, dynamic and experienced senior-level administrator reporting to the College President to serve as chief academic and student services officer responsible for ensuring a quality learning environment. Positions reporting directly to the VPI/Provost include the campus deans of instruction, dean of extended learning/workforce development, dean of student services, director of libraries, director of curriculum and assessment, and academic support services.
Cochise County College is a comprehensive public community college located in southeastern Arizona. With two major campuses and several other community sites, the college serves a diverse population of approximately 13,800 students annually (7,400 FTE).
The college has an annual operating budget of approximately 35 million dollars and recently received a ten year reaccreditation from the Higher Learning Commission with no stipulations or required follow up reports or visits. Qualifications include an earned doctorate from an accredited institution of higher education; minimum of seven years of signifi cant administrative and leadership experience in higher education; demonstrated ability to work effectively with faculty, staff and the community in designing, developing and delivering quality educational programs and services; proven familiarity with and demonstrated skills in academic and/or student services administration, resource management, program development and evaluation, enrollment management, assessment of student learning outcomes, and strategic planning; ability to develop teams and work toward consensus building in addressing problems and generating solutions; excellent written and oral communication skills.
