Job Description | Essential Functions:
• Provide direction in the areas of community relations, college publications, marketing, alumni affairs, resource development, grants, special events, and the Foundation.
• Develop, implement and update annual and long range plans for the College’s marketing and public relations programs.
• Direct and participate in the development and implementation of advertising campaigns using market research and demographic information to target prospective students, increase student enrollments and provide visibility for the college.
• Cultivate and maintain institutional relationships with local media outlets and various community individuals and agencies.
• Provides strategic guidance and leadership for all employee and capital campaigns to secure donations, expand community support, and build endowment funding for the College.
• Create and execute a plan for supplemental external funding of the college through state and federal grants, private foundations, prospect research, planned giving, and annual giving.
• Direct the Foundation including marketing, fundraising, activities, events, policy development, board recruitment, and planning processes.
• Market and ensure public awareness of activities of the College and foundation
• Prepare, coordinate, and administer the operating budget for the areas of Institutional Advancement and the Foundation.
• Develop a plan for generating revenue from major gifts by supporting and implementing the work necessary for the President to cultivate and solicit major supporters.
• Develop and implement a strong, comprehensive alumni program that connects prior students to the College.
• Complete institutional reports and/or surveys as directed by the President and/or assigned.
• Represent the College and the President’s Office to the external community where appropriate.
• Directly supervise the Institutional Advancement and the Foundation Division.
• Review, revise and implement approved policies for the division that specifically support the college’s mission, goals, objectives and values in Institutional Advancement areas, i.e. gift giving, grant writing, contacting partners and public relations.
• Work closely with administrators and faculty to determine equipment and funding needed to enhance and strengthen the instructional programs.
