Western Wyoming Community College can best be described by its motto, “A commitment to quality and success” This commitment to quality is reflected both in its facilities and in its staff. The 78 full-time faculty, 120 adjunct faculty, and 134 full time administration and support staff personnel are committed professionals whose number one priority is student success.
WWCC offers two-year transfer programs for students pursuing a baccalaureate, two-year occupational degrees and a number of occupational certificate programs. In the 2012-13 school year, 511 degrees and certificates were awarded in the areas of Humanities and Fine Arts, Social Science, Science and Mathematics, Business, Technology and Industry, and Health Science.
To further student achievement, WWCC has an extensive library with over 60,000 volumes and access to numerous online search services. Free peer tutoring, help with developmental coursework, career and personal counseling, and a children’s center are all a part of our commitment to a student-centered campus. The college's focus on student success has led to national recognition for graduation and transfer rates.
The campus features a swimming pool, weight room, wellness center, intramural sports, tennis courts, walking track and two gymnasiums. Throughout the year, student and faculty can attend theatre, music and dance performances and stroll the art gallery and natural history museum. The college has intercollegiate teams in men and women's basketball and soccer, wrestling and volleyball.
The area surrounding WWCC averages 300 days of sunshine per year, perfect for exploring the outdoors, where rivers, reservoirs, sand dunes, and wild horses all occupy the open land. White water rafting, boating, camping and fishing are just a short trip from campus.
