Minority Resources Center

Minority Services

The Minority Resources Center is the American Association of Community Colleges' (AACC) focal point for all issues relating to minority education in community colleges. Its principle roles include: projecting at every opportunity the importance of effective and sensitive minority education programs in our colleges, collecting information on quality programs and disseminating it to the membership, working with other national associations and organizations to strengthen the voice of such efforts to federal managers and policy makers, and taking on action itself and encouraging new initiatives and program innovation throughout the national network of community colleges. The guidebook for the Center is Making Good On Our Promises...Moving Beyond Rhetoric to Action, a report of the AACC Commission to Improve Minority Education. The scope of the Center includes all ethnic and national groups.
