We now feature images from member colleges as backgrounds for our association's official Twitter account (@Comm_College). If we select your image for use as a background, we will contact you by e-mail. Backgrounds will run for approximately one month.
First, confirm that your college is an AACC member. Go to the Community College Finder and enter your college’s name. If your institution is there, your membership is up to date.
If you are unable to find your college in the Community College Finder database, your membership is not current. Please contact our Membership Department and speak with Wayne Horton (202.728.0200 x236; email@example.com) who will assist you in getting your membership updated.
Once your membership is confirmed, e-mail your image(s), making sure to adhere to the guidelines that follow. Note that we will likely tile the image unless you send an image that is 1500×500 and it fits well within Twitter's design layout.
- Make sure your image is 300 dpi (we will adjust the resolution to meet Twitter's 2MB file size limit)
- Please include any photographer credits that need to be used
- Complete this photo release form
We will periodically solicit submissions for certain themes, but colleges are welcome to submit images highlighting what makes their school unique and notable throughout the year.
