  • For the fifth consecutive year, "G.I. Jobs," the premier magazine for military personnel transitioning into civilian life, has awarded Missouri State University-West Plains, the designation of a "Military-Friendly School."
  • For the past 17 years, Missouri State-West Plains graduates have scored at or above the national mean on the Collegiate Assessment of Academic Proficiency (CAAP) in all five areas.
  • Missouri State University-West Plains received the largest gift in the campus’ history in fiscal year 2012—a $4 million gift that will endow and expand need-based scholarships. The gift to the Missouri State University Foundation was from the Lorene Thompson Brooks estate.
