Interesting Facts

  • In June 2013, in light of the college's decision to begin development of curriculum for two new bachelor degree programs and increased efforts in international studies, the Board of Trustees voted to change the name to Jackson College.
  • Jackson College is one of only a handful of community colleges that offers on-campus residence housing for students at its Campus View community on the Jackson campus.
  • The college is home to one of the area’s premier performing arts complexes, the Potter Center. The Potter Center has three theatres and welcomes professional main stage productions and entertainers, community arts and musical groups such as the Jackson Symphony Orchestra and Michigan Shakespeare Festival, student performers, and is available to local schools for concerts, plays, and more.
