A national leader among community colleges, El Paso Community College District (EPCC) proudly serves over 30,000 students at five campuses in El Paso, Texas. EPCC has been recognized with the prestigious Leah Meyer Austin Institutional Student Success Leadership Award as well as the top honor for Examples of Excelencia competition, and leads the nation in associate degrees granted to Hispanics. Strong community partnerships continue to be paramount in ensuring student success at EPCC and have also facilitated the upcoming sixth campus, which will be located on Fort Bliss. The college is comprised of talented faculty and staff who are dedicated to increasing the educational attainment level for the people of El Paso.

Interesting Facts

  • EPCC is the first community college to have a Research Initiative for Scientific Enhancement (RISE). The RISE to the Challenge program is funded by a grant from the National Institutes of Health. Once accepted into the program, students are paid to work in a biomedical research laboratory at EPCC or other local research institutions, including University of Texas at El Paso and Texas A&M.
  • The college operates the Rio Grande Health Clinic which provides health services to the community.
  • EPCC is a flagship school for Texas Genuine program. The program recruits students for career and technical education in the state.
