- College of Central Florida has twice been ranked among the top 120 colleges in the U.S. by the Aspen Institute for Community College Excellence, which aims to identify and replicate campuswide practices that significantly improve college student outcomes.
- In December, CF graduated its first Bachelor of Applied Science students. The college is exploring additional baccalaureate degree offerings.
- CF takes great pride in its Appleton Museum of Art, which offers temporary exhibitions and a permanent collection of European, American, and Contemporary art, plus Asian, African, Islamic, and pre-Columbian artifacts and antiquities. The 81,910-square-foot facility boasts more than 18,000 objects.
- For four years, the Arbor Day Foundation has recognized CF as a Tree Campus USA for its dedication to campus forestry management and environmental stewardship.
