Quote from the President

As president, my primary focus is to foster student learning by promoting access, excellence and stewardship for all programs and services offered at Atlantic Cape Community College. In collaboration with the Board of Trustees, faculty, staff, students, and the community, the concepts of access, excellence, and stewardship constitute foundational principles upon which to develop a shared vision for the college aimed at enhancing student learning on a comprehensive basis. I have been strongly committed to the concept of stewardship during my forty year career in community college education. Simply put, leaders of publicly funded community colleges have the responsibility of enhancing the resources and capacity of the institution to make it more effective and efficient in meeting the needs of future generations.

Interesting Facts

  • Academy of Culinary Arts
Atlantic Cape’s Academy of Culinary Arts (ACA) has been a staple to the College for 35 years. It boasts 100% job placement and has a strong alumni foundation with former students being showcased on The Food Network and working Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, the Waldorf Astoria and Aramark.

  • Accelerated Learning Program
The Accelerated Learning Program (ALP), winner of the 2016 Diana Hacker/Two-Year College English Association Outstanding Programs in English Award places upper-level developmental students into college-level composition with a co-requisite support course. Student success data has proven that ALP students are more likely than students taking the traditional developmental sequence to pass Composition I, pass Composition II, return the semester following ALP, and complete more credits during their first year.
