Summary

By 2030, the U.S. will need 41,000 nuclear technicians, most jobs located in the Southeast. Indian River State College in Florida will train skilled nuclear employees with the establishment of the Regional Center for Nuclear Education and Training. The college is partnering with four other colleges, 27 industry partners, and 12 government agencies. Most graduates from IRSC’s nuclear program go straight to work at the local St. Lucie plant.
