POSITION -- President of Grand Rapids Community College, located in Grand Rapids, Michigan for four years.
PREVIOUS -- Prior to that, he served as president of Westmoreland County Community College in Pennsylvania. Before joining the community college sector, he worked in senior leadership and faculty positions at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Prior teaching and counseling positions included work at the University of Georgia and Kansas State University. During Dr. Ender’s career, developmental education, counseling, advising and teaching have been prominent and he has published extensively in these areas.
AFFILIATIONS -- In Grand Rapids Dr. Ender serves on several boards including the Spectrum Health System Board, the YMCA corporate board, The Right Place Economic Development Board, and the West Michigan Center for Arts and Technology board of directors.
EDUCATION -- Dr. Ender earned his M.ED. and Ed.D. from the University of Georgia studying college student personnel and counseling and human development. He holds a B.S. degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Business Management.
OTHER -- Dr. Ender is actively involved in the Michigan Community College Association serving on the strategic planning and legislative committees.
