POSITION -- Since 2012, President of Stark State College, a public community college located in North Canton, Ohio that serves more than 15,000 students. One of the largest of Ohio's community and technical colleges, Stark State has been among the fastest-growing community colleges in the nation for several years and is one of three Ohio community colleges in the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation-funded Completion by Design (CbD) initiative, led by Sinclair Community College (OH), Miami Dade College (FL) and five community colleges in North Carolina.
PREVIOUS -- Served as President of Spartanburg Community College (SC). Prior to first presidency, spent 12 years as Vice President overseeing advancement and fundraising, strategic planning, institutional research, marketing and communications, student services, enrollment management, career development, multicultural student affairs, disability support services and student activities.
AFFILIATIONS -- Serves on boards: Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce; Stark and Tuscarawas Counties Workforce Investment Board (WIB); Stark Development Board, a local nonprofit board funded by business and industry and committed to increase business investment and jobs in the region; stark Education Partnership, a privately funded nonprofit educational reform organization; Chair of the Stark County P-16 Council. At the state level, I serve on the Ohio Board of Regents' Task Force on Technology Transfer and Commercialization. I am on the National Board of the Manufacturing Institute, an affiliate of the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM).
