AACC Awards and Honors

Community colleges provide educational opportunities for all and have been in the forefront of preparing America's future leaders. AACC offers a variety of awards to those individuals who have excelled in their fields and who have given back to their communities.

We also feature a list of retiring community college presidents and honor new and retiring community college presidents at the Hail and Farewell Luncheon at our annual convention.

Expanded National Awards Program

To underscore association priorities and bring national visibility to promising practices among its member institutions, the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) announces the creation of a new awards program open to all AACC members in good standing. Award categories include the following:

EMERGING LEADERSHIP AWARD
STUDENT SUCCESS AWARD
EXEMPLARY CEO/BOARD AWARD
ADVANCING DIVERSITY AWARD
OUTSTANDING COLLEGE/CORPORATE PARTNERSHIP AWARD

Nominations can be made online via the links above. AACC will accept awards for 2014 between September 2 - October 4, 2013. Any applications received after this date will not be reviewed. Awardees will be judged by a select committee of the AACC Board of Directors and will be announced at the closing session of the AACC Convention, Tuesday April 8 in Washington, DC.
